District Explorers
We now have new members applying every week with the result we are now considering a second Explorer Group to ensure that all who want to can enjoy Explorer Scouting.
We have two members of the district attending the world scout Jamboree in Sweden in July / August 2011 as well as four of our explorers are planning a trip to Botswana to build a wildlife reserve and conservation area in the summer of 2012.
Duke of Edinburgh scheme is starting very very soon so if anybody is interested in joining to complete their DofE we must know ASAP. Alongside this the Young Leader programme will be launched before the end of March.
Thank you to Ayers Explorer Group who invited us to their winter camp, it was great to wake with tents covered in 5 cm of snow and meet new friends.
